Marc Hughes

& His wife/Ministry Partner Rachel

Hey there! I'm Marc Hughes the Highschool and student ministries pastor at Pacific Coast Church.

I have been involved in student ministries since 2011 where I started my youth ministry journey as a  volunteer in the PCC middleschool ministry. As I served in this ministry i felt God calling me deeper into youth ministry and I began interning shortly after. After graduating with a business degree from Concordia University Irvine, I decided to reroute and dive fully into ministry. I was hired on as the middleschool pastor in 2019 and I absolutely love having the opportunity to teach and guide the next generation.

A few months after being hired, I married my amazing wife Rachel in August of  2019. In the fall of 2021, I was given the opportunity to step into the role of Highschool pastor. It has been an amazing journey this far and I can't wait to see what else God has in store.

My hearts ambition is to raise up students who know and love Jesus. I am constantly striving to learn how to do this in the best way possible, and I know that the best way to teach a love for God is to model it in my own life.  I am currently studying at Talbot for my M.A. in ministry leadership --Pastoral care and counseling.

I am blessed to be working at such an amazing church.  My family has been attending Pacific Coast Church for almost 30 years now. It is so special to now be a Pastor in the church I grew up in. My hope and prayer is that this ministry raises up future leaders who go out and spread the love of Jesus wherever they are called.
